01What GetCourier is

GetCourier gives software, including AI agents, email addresses that receive mail, and an API and MCP server to read and send mail. It is built for receiving sign-up confirmations, verification codes and magic links, and for sending ordinary, expected email from the addresses we issue.

By calling the API or MCP server, or by using an address we issue, you accept these terms. If you use GetCourier for an organisation, or through an AI agent you operate, you accept them for that organisation or agent, and you are responsible for what the agent does.

02Free and paid use

  • Free: up to 5 inboxes per day per IP address (3 per hour), each kept for 72 hours. Free inboxes can receive, and can send only in the limited way set out in section 9. We may change free limits at any time to protect the service.
  • Paid: you prepay credits in USDC on Base or in bitcoin, $1 minimum. Current prices are published at https://getcourier.dev/v1/pricing (today: 100 credits for a 72-hour inbox, 2,000 credits for a 30-day inbox, at $0.0001 per credit). A price change never touches credits you already hold.
  • Payments are final once on chain. Send the exact amount shown on your deposit. If you send a different amount, the wrong asset, or use the wrong network, write to us with the transaction id and we will try to credit or return it, but we cannot promise to recover it.
  • Refunds: unused credits are refundable on request within 30 days of the deposit, to the address that paid, minus network fees. If the service fails to deliver something you paid for, we refund those credits. Credits forfeited under section 4 or section 9 are not refunded.
  • Pay per call (x402): an agent can instead pay for a single request in USDC on Base using the x402 standard, with no account. Each paid call costs at least US$0.01; any amount above the price of that call is kept as credit for the paying wallet or account.
  • Credits are not money, earn no interest, and cannot be transferred or exchanged except through a refund. Credits expire after 24 months of account inactivity.

03Your keys and tokens

Account keys and inbox read tokens are bearer credentials: anyone holding one can use it. Keep them secret. We are not responsible for use of a leaked key, but tell us and we will revoke it.

04Acceptable use

You may not use GetCourier to:

  1. break the law, or help anyone else break it;
  2. create accounts in bulk on another service in breach of its terms, evade a ban or suspension, or abuse free trials, referral programmes, sign-up bonuses, votes, reviews or giveaways;
  3. impersonate a real person or organisation, or receive mail meant for someone else;
  4. take part in phishing, fraud, scams, credential theft or account takeover;
  5. send or relay spam, or use an address as a reply-to for unsolicited mail;
  6. receive or store child sexual abuse material, or any content that exploits minors (we report it to the authorities);
  7. receive malware, or use us to command or control malicious software;
  8. attack, overload, probe or reverse-engineer the service, or get around rate limits or the free-tier caps (for example by rotating IP addresses);
  9. resell the service as your own without our written permission.

Your AI agent's actions count as yours.

Enforcement. We may block, suspend or delete inboxes and accounts that break these rules, without notice where the abuse is serious or ongoing. Where we reasonably can, we tell you why. Credits in an account suspended for abuse are forfeited. We keep and hand over records when the law requires it.

05Your mail and data

Mail sent to your addresses belongs to you and its senders. Mail you send from your addresses belongs to you and its recipients. We process mail only to run the service and to check it for abuse, as the Privacy Policy (https://getcourier.dev/privacy.html) describes. We do not sell it, advertise with it or train models on it. Free inboxes, and their mail, are deleted automatically after 72 hours. Do not use GetCourier for highly sensitive mail, such as banking, medical records or a primary account's password resets. Email crosses the public internet before it reaches us.

06Availability

We work to keep GetCourier running, but it is provided as is, with no guarantee of uptime or that every message will arrive: email delivery depends on senders and on networks we do not control. We may change, limit or end features. If we shut the service down, we will give at least 30 days' notice on the site, and refund unused paid credits on request.

07Liability

To the extent the law allows, GetCourier and Nuvidian AI, LLC are not liable for indirect or consequential losses (lost profits, lost accounts, lost data), and our total liability to you is limited to the greater of what you paid us in the 12 months before the claim and US$50. Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited by law.

You agree to cover our reasonable costs if a third party claims against us because of your breach of section 4 or section 9.

08Changes and law

We may update these terms. The date at the top changes, and material changes are announced on the site at least 14 days before they apply to paid accounts. These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Florida, USA, and disputes go to the courts of Hillsborough County, Florida, unless the law where you live gives you a right to sue at home.

You can send email from a GetCourier inbox. Sending goes out through Amazon SES. You may send only from an @getcourier.dev address or an address on a domain you have verified with us, in either case one that your account controls. Own-domain sending is paid (20 credits per recipient), is capped at 100 recipients per inbox per day in the domain's first 7 days and 500 after that, and you must own the domain you verify. You may not send from another person's address, another customer's inbox, or a domain you do not control.

Free inboxes are reply-only. A free inbox may send only to people who emailed that inbox first, and to the account's verified owner email. A free inbox may send at most 100 messages per calendar month. The reason is simple: spam bots abuse free email senders, so free sending is kept to replies.

Paid sending costs 20 credits per recipient. That is US$0.002 per recipient at today's price. We charge before we send. If the provider refuses the message, we refund those credits. If your balance will not cover a message, we return 402 with the price and the ways to pay (credits or x402), and we do not send it.

Verify a human owner email to send freely. If you verify a human owner email on your account, one account per email, you may use the free allowance of 100 messages per month on any recipient, instead of replies only. You must still follow every rule below.

Caps. Each inbox may reach 50 distinct recipients per UTC day. Each account may reach 200 distinct recipients per day during its first 7 days. A single message may have at most 50 recipients. We refuse messages over a cap and we tell you why. We may lower a cap at any time to protect the service or our sending reputation.

No bulk and no marketing. You may not send unsolicited bulk mail, marketing or promotional mail, chain mail, or mail to a purchased, rented, scraped or borrowed list. You may not use GetCourier as a send-only bulk relay. Every recipient must be someone who gave you their address for the purpose you are using it.

Expected mail only. Every message must be one the recipient would reasonably expect from you, at the address they gave you, about something they know about. Replying to a message you received is the safe case. Cold outreach to strangers is not allowed. Phishing, impersonation and fraud are banned by section 4 as well.

Complaints and bounces. Any spam complaint suspends that inbox's sending automatically. A hard-bounce rate above 2% suspends it automatically too. We may pause all public sending to protect deliverability. We may keep the credits spent on the messages behind the abuse, and we may forfeit the remaining credits in an account suspended for sending abuse. Suspension is not a refund event. You may appeal a suspension by writing to legal@getcourier.dev.

Opt-out and law. You must honour unsubscribe and opt-out requests immediately, and keep your own suppression list. Do not remove, forge or ignore unsubscribe headers. You must comply with the law that applies to your mail, including CAN-SPAM (United States), GDPR and the ePrivacy rules (EU and UK), and any local equivalent. Do not disguise or forge the origin of a message.

Content. We may refuse, hold or remove any message, and we check sending patterns for abuse. Mail you send belongs to you and its recipients; we process it to deliver it and to check it for abuse.

Records. We keep records of sends, complaints and bounces, and we hand them over when the law requires it.
